The weakened job market is witnessing a new change among the startups and e-commerce ventures. These businesses are seeking top senior talents to lead the brands in the Indian market. Big names like Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm, Swiggy, OYO, Zomato, Ola, etc are all eyeing the top senior talents. Even the new startups, which have just received Series A or B accreditations, are also filling the top position of the pyramid with senior executives.
Anuj Roy is the managing partner of Fidius Advisory. He said that the hiring segment in the online industry is picking up senior talents big time. The percentage has risen to 100% within a year. The consultants in the job industry of India are astonished to see the introduction of more than 400 senior executive profiles in the leading positions.
For instances, OYO has hired Aditya Ghosh, ex-IndiGo president for the post of CEO. He will work on the Indian and South Asian market. Flipkart also took a major step and hired Smriti Singh in the lead human resource management position MakeMyTrip roped in Vipul Prakash as the COO this year.
Anuj Roy said “Online sector hiring has picked up big time. Sentiments are up. A lot of such companies are now building their teams because once you raise that much capital, you move from a start-up culture to a professional-led one.”
The e-commerce and other online ventures are gearing up to make the management robust so that the companies can withstand any turmoil using experience.
