TAI, or Textile Association (India), Ahmedabad Unit, as a part of the celebration of their 80th Anniversary will organise a one-day conference on ‘Global Textile Changing Scenarios in Current Times’. The aim of the conference is to provide opportunity for the country’s textile fraternity to benefit in enhancing its cumulative strength.
The conference will be held on 9th April 2019 in Ahmedabad. It is also aimed for creating a positive global environment for the stakeholders. Conference chairperson TL Patel said that they expect the programme will lead further to networking and business relationship among the participants from various countries.
At the event the panel discussion topics will include: The Global Cotton scenario and India’s position in it; how India can be more competitive in the global textile and apparel manufacturing industry under the current situations; and the current scenario of Chemical Fibre: its future developments and its challenges.
During the inaugural ceremony of the conference several dignitaries from the textile industry and head of the leading institutes would be honoured with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.
The conference will witness the presence of eminent personalities from the industry, academia, R&D institutions, government departments and policy makers.
Textile Association (India), or TAI is the biggest body of textile professionals not just in the country, but also in the world. The Ahmedabad unit, which the second largest TAI unit, next to the Mumbai unit, will host this conference with over 3,000 members. The main motive of this conference is to enhance the opportunity to have a greater foothold of India in the global textile and apparel manufacturing industry.
