First edition of Solar Expo India 2017 was organized in Jaipur to promote solar energy industry and create a new platform for the industry.
First edition of Solar Expo India 2017 was held at Jaipur from 3rd-5th November. The event was marked by the presence and active participation of a number of corporate, distributors, sellers and endorsers who found this expo perfect platform to launch their new projects. Expo received encouraging support and response from solar manufacturers across India.
Rajesh Sinha, CEO, Solar expo India said, ‘This is first and one-of-its-kind Solar expo held in Rajasthan that offers multi-stakeholder platform initiated by putting together interests of both buyers and sellers of renewable energy by framing resources and co-ordination of activities for promotion of better policy framework targeted towards renewable energy sourcing.’
‘This was the right time to bring forth new energy development in Rajasthan as no such event has been ever launched before’, Mr. Sinha informed.
According to him, Rajasthan that has abundance of access to solar energy needs a consistent regulatory environment and awareness among the solar power manufacturers to take advantage of this natural resource of energy to the most. Solar Expo India was organized by Essential Trade Fairs with the aim of establishing new sourcing platform for the solar industry. Generating electricity through solar energy as became a well-established model in several states of India.
The idea of this event was conceived a year back by the support and foresight suggestion of Jaipur based Rajasthan Solar Association (RSA). They provided invaluable support for commencing this event. Several member companies participated in this expo and partners of the event were mostly from Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Haryana and Faridabad.
Mr. Rajeshwar Singh and Mr. Manish Gupta eminent members of RSA said that the aim of Solar expo India was to shape the regulatory environment and enhance business opportunities for solar power growth in Rajasthan.
Solar Expo India was conducted with the purpose to make its member companies more successful and sustainable by focusing on the maximum positive impact for the buyers, environment and societies.

We are uniquely positioned to work with member companies along and across value chains to deliver impactful business solutions to the most challenging sustainability issues. Together, we can lead voice of business for sustainability: united by our vision for India where at present more than 12 billion people is having good standard of living within the boundaries of our state”, added Mr. Singh and Mr. Gupta.
The expo was attended by more than 2000 visitors from different states of India. Over 250 experts gathered information at the discussion keeping in consideration economic and scientific focal points.

Mr. Sinha points out, “Energy Storage India is still in its growth course. Exhibitors numbers shows that the focus on the whole spectrum of storage technologies and several different types of people participating into one event were striking a chord with the industry.”
