Siemens Gamesa informed that it has procured multiple orders of 326 MW wind power capacities across the Indian sub-continent. The order comprises of engineering production and construction (EPC) of 326 MW of wind power projects across various sites in India.
The company would install 135 units of its G114-2.0 MW wind turbines and 28 units of its G97-2.0 MW wind turbines at different sites which would start by March 2018.
According to the agreements, Siemens Gamesa will be responsible to handle the entire infrastructure needed for development, erection, supply and commissioning of the 135 units of G114-2.0 MW wind turbines and 28 units of its G97-2.0 MW.
Ramesh Kymal, CEO of Siemens Gamesa's onshore business in India said- "These orders show a positive sign of development in the market and it certainly boosts our confidence significantly as we gear up towards the next growth phase for Siemens Gamesa in India. The company also informed about Indian government’s action of auctioning 6 GW of new capacity in coming 4-5 months.
Siemens Gamesa is present in India since 2009, and in these years it has installed over 5 GW. They are the leaders of OEM in India for the past three years, informed MAKE Consultancy.
